ℹ️ Lite vs. Classic – what's the difference?
💡 The Lite version lets you get started with power measurement at a lower cost, using a single instrumented spindle (left leg) while the right leg runs a standard spindle.
Power data is less precise since it is extrapolated from the left leg and doubled, but it is more than enough to explore power-based training. You can always upgrade by adding a second instrumented spindle down the line.

In both versions, your pedals come with the spindles pre-assembled. Simply mount them onto your bike and you're ready to ride.

Optimal Operating Conditions
CyclOptim pedals feature a built-in temperature compensation system to ensure that fluctuations do not affect data accuracy.
The optimal operating range is -10°C to +50°C. Outside these limits, your pedals will continue to function, but data reliability may be compromised.
Prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold may also accelerate wear on the internal electronics.
As with any battery-powered electronic device, exposure to extreme heat can severely damage the battery or, in the worst case, cause it to rupture. Please refer to the manual for further information.
Maintenance
The pedals are IPX7-rated, so they can be cleaned alongside your bike. That said, avoid directing a high-pressure jet directly at the pedals from close range.
Configuration and updates
Configuration is handled directly from your GPS or smartwatch. The only parameter you'll need to enter is your crank length — if you're unsure how to measure it, refer to our manual).

Initial calibration is also required at installation; the full procedure is covered in the online manual.
Firmware updates can be pushed remotely via an app on your phone (Android or iOS). Our companion app is coming soon — in the meantime, updates are handled through a third-party app. Whenever a new update is available, you'll receive an email with a step-by-step guide.

Accuracy of ±1%
Our sensors are integrated directly into the pedal spindle — the closest point to your effort, ensuring reliable and accurate measurement. They rely on four strain gauges mounted in a Wheatstone bridge, sensitive enough to precisely capture the force you apply. Though invisible, this force causes a micro-deformation of the material, perfectly proportional to the effort exerted.
This deformation is analysed by the pedals' microcontrollers and onboard software, then converted into power. The relationship between deformation and force is established through individual calibration carried out in our laboratory at assembly. The result: power measured in real time to ±1% accuracy.
High-Tech & Durable
Built to handle every condition. Your pedal platforms are made from a nylon and fibreglass composite:
- Nylon resists friction, abrasion, and impacts.
- Fibreglass delivers rigidity and keeps weight low for optimal power transfer.
The electronics are partly embedded in the axle, machined from aerospace-grade stainless steel. The strain gauges sit on the axle body, encapsulated in resin — absorbing shocks, reinforcing the waterproof seal, and buffering thermal fluctuations.
Your pedals and sensors are rated IPX7.

Is the battery replaceable?
No, the battery is sealed within the axle and cannot be replaced. However, it is rated for over 1,000 full charge cycles before any noticeable loss in battery life.
Do the pedals support Bluetooth®?
The pedals communicate with GPS devices and smartwatches via ANT+ — the industry-standard protocol for sports sensors. If you're unsure whether your device is compatible, you can check the full list here.
Bluetooth (BLE) support is planned in a future software update, expanding compatibility with even more devices.
